Girls unfair expectations

I think we all know those girls who have just started going out with their new boyfriend (probably the fourth this week-but that’s beside the point!) and thus the expectations have began.

Day in and day out I see multiple posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on, of girls talking about their boyfriends and not what they have done right, but everything they have done wrong!

Your boyfriend didn’t send you a “good morning beautiful” text?, it’s the end of the world, he must be cheating on you with another girl. Because that is the only logical reason. He definitely wasn’t sleeping because that wouldn’t make sense at all! Be logical maybe your boy is sleeping because you kept him up all night texting!

Your boyfriend didn’t buy you a giant teddy bear or a Pandora bracelet for Christmas? wow I feel so sorry for you! Did you ever stop and think that maybe it is the thought that counts.

Another girl favourited one of your boys tweets or his Facebook pictures? Well obviously they are sleeping together, that is the only possibility right? Wrong! Did you ever stop and think that maybe they are friends? Or maybe your boy doesn’t even know her, or maybe she just thought the tweet was funny?

Your boy talks to other girls now and then? Oh god he is sleeping with all of them. Your boy talks to another girl, that he has known for ever, all the time? Oh wow they must be secretly going out, how about boys and girls are able to be friends without anything going on!

Girls you cannot lock your boys in a cage! He is not your dancing monkey, he has rights and he is a human being and he makes mistakes, so you need to get off your high horse and accept the fact that you are not and will never be the only girl in his life! You can hope to be the only girl he will ever fall in love with, but you can’t guarantee that either. So just be reasonable girls no breaking up just because he didn’t text you in the morning, no accusations just because another girl liked his photo and finally no indirect tweeting because he didn’t buy you the most expensive present in the world.

Bucket List

My Bucket List:

Go skydiving – I just want to have that feeling of no control, nothing you can do but just fall. The wind in your face, that feeling in you stomach as you fall from the sky. I want to feel free.

Travel the world- If you read my last post you will know that this is the one thing that I have dreamed of all my life and I can’t wait to get started.

Go to America on a J1- I live in Ireland and I have never been to America but I have always dreamed of going there! And what would be better than going over there for summer with a group of friends working, earning money and partying? That’s right nothing!

Volunteer in Africa- I have always wanted to see Africa, it’s a whole different world there and I’d love to see it while at the same time giving to those less fortunate.

Go to Disneyland- From a young age I have always been Disney obsessed, I loved it and combined with my love for roller costers, Disneyland would be an experience of a life time.

Go skiing- I’ve seen people so many times on movies and tv programmes skiing and snowboarding down snow filled hills but living in Ireland I have never had the chance to experience the seemingly thrilling sport, and you know what they say, you always want what you can’t have!

Go on a cruise- I have been on boats before sure, but never a huge cruise ship like the ones I see on tv and movies I have always dreamed of it since I watched the very first episode of “the suite life on deck”  where Zach and Cody moved from living in a hotel to living on a ship. I would just love to be floating in the middle of the sea, able to look out to miles and miles of blue. I think I would feel so free ( and let’s not forget about the free food that you get on most of these cruise ships)

Do a colour run- For those of you who don’t know what this is let me explain, a clolour run is a fun run that is held in many places all over Ireland, a few times a year. It’s basically just a run that you can do on your own or with a group of friends(the preferred option) where you run- usually about 5km and while you are running colour powders and paints are thrown at you from all angles. It’s like you are running through a rainbow!

Get tickets to the Ellen Degeneres show- Because I’m not american I can’t watch Ellen on my tv, but I am forever watching her videos on her YouTube channel and I must say she is the funniest, kindest person alive and I would love to be in the audience for one of her shows!

Throw a dart at a map and go there- Some people believe that there is no such this as fate but I believe in it(at least to a certain extent) and I think by throwing a dart at a map and going somewhere completely at random that there Is definitely going to be a reason why that dart landed where it did (plus it’s an extra excuse for more travelling!)

Watch the titanic- the titanic is one of the most talked about film in the world but I am yet to see it! (If you are a titanic fan girl please don’t kill me) it’s not that I’m not a fan of romance movies- because I am, it’s just it’s over three hours long and I am a very hyper active person, I don’t know would I be able to sit down and watch a movie for that long.

Get my full drivers license- I’ve always loved driving, I currently have my provisional license which means I am alould to drive but only with someone else in the car who has had a full licence for two or more years, it kind of sucks really because I can’t just drive in and pick up my friends and just go for a spin. I just really want my full license, it’s like a ticket to a slice of freedom!

Go to a music festival – I love music, all types of it really I just love the passion put into the singing and playing of it and hearing how much the lyrics mean to the person singing it. I’d love to go to a music festival and experience a few full days of music, it would be one of the best moments of my life, I know it!

Become an organ doner- I’ve always wanted to become an organ doner, I just feel that when I’m dead I’m dead that’s it. I just think it would be great that even after I’m dead I would be able to potentially save someone else’s life!

Become fluent in a language- I love talking, so much, and I also love the sound of languages and I just think it would be amazing to be able to speak a whole other language- i am currently studying German in school and I love it and I am hoping to go on and study it in college and become fluent in it! It would really be a brilliant skill to have!

See AC/DC in concert- wow I am obsessed with AC/DC I’m sure everyone knows who AC/DC are but if you don’t look them up right now and listen to all their music you won’t regret it. AC/DC are actually coming to Ireland during the summer and just my luck they are coming when I am out of the country, I literally cried for days.

Well that’s my bucket list, I’m sure it will change and things will be added and crossed off in the future! But that’s what I’ve got so far!

Do you have a bucket list? Or have you done any of the things I have mentioned in my list? Let me know in the comments!

Wanderlust

Wanderlust is a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world.

I being only the age of 17, have barely seen any of this big beautiful world that we live in.

I was born and raised in Ireland and that is where I am currently living.  I have been to a few places around the world including Tenerife, Italy, England  and Spain. That’s barely 2% of the world and I just can’t wait to see the rest, all the cultures, food, languages, so much that I have yet to experience.

Sure Ireland is a lovely place , the Irish culture, the music and of course let’s not forget about the leprechauns(those of ye non-Irish please know that I am joking)

Ireland’s great but it’s only going to be the first chapter of the book and I plan to fill that book with chapters of my adventures all around the world. All of the places I cannot wait to visit.

I want to see Paris at night, New York during winter, Miami in summer and let’s not forget the rest of this mysterious world that we live in. I want to see every inch of the world. I dream of back packing accross Europe, skiing in sweeden, volunteering in Africa, belly dancing in India, going to the Christmas markets in Munich and of course going to Las Vegas  and winning at roulette and maybe even a bit of blackjack(if I’m feeling lucky), I want to surf in California and wear grass skirts and coconut bras in Hawaii.

I want to see the world and I’m not going to stop until I do.

If you are a travel lover like me I know you are going to love this new app I just downloaded, it’s called ‘been’, it let’s you click on all the places around the world that you have visited and once you have them all checked it will tell you what percent of the world you have been to and what percent of Europe and America you have visited aswell. If you are a travel junky like me it is definitely worth the download! And best part is, it’s free!!

Have you been to any of the places or done any of the things I have mentioned? If so leave a comment and tell me what it was like.

If not what is the one thing you would most like to do? Where is the one place you dream of visiting?
